Out of 16 DJ competitors, over 7 massive nights at Cairo Jazz Club and CJC 610, only 1 team will be crowned the winner. And you get to decide who. Your vote counts alongside our judges’ at each event.

HEY DJ is looking for aspiring electronic music movers and shakers. But hurry because the competition closes February 19th. Fill your application today and send us a SoundCloud set of yours.

SELECTION

Only 16 DJs are chosen based on your skills, your attached set, and your application form. And on February 22nd at CJC 610 you’ll be put in teams of 4 - at random selection - to work with one of our 4 mentors: Mohasseb, A-Squared, Misty, and Ashmawy.

SESSIONS

Over the course of the Hey DJ competition, you’ll have studio sessions from February 23rd to March 3rd to perfect your craft and work on a show-stopping act.

COMPETE

Trim your beards or paint your nails, because big gig life begins here. Starting March 4th, the Knockout Rounds begin at CJC. Your team will play an hour-and-a-half-long set for our manic Monday crowd. Hey DJ’s judges, Ouzo, Omar Sherif, Shiha, Ahmed Eid, as well as the crowd will vote before the winners move on to the semifinals and finals at CJC 610 (April 4th-18th).
